WorkFaceBerlin originated from the first German-Chinese transcultural dialogue on March 15th., 2020. It is a gathering space, belonging to everyone in the global village.
Berlin is a symbolic city. It was devided into East and West after the war and a new era of peace started from here when the wall fell in 1990. Based on Berlin, we would like to explore and deepen a culture of global peace in post-corona times.

WorkFace柏林的雏形是中德国际圆桌对话，第一次对话发生在2020年3月15日。
柏林是一个特别的存在。她的分裂曾是二战的起点，东西德的统一是战后世界重归和平的象征。这个城市以崇尚自由、现代精神为标志。以柏林为舵，我们期望拓展后疫情时代有关世界和平的文化议题。
诞生于这个特殊的时期、站在中西方交汇的十字路口，WF Berlin注定会以其独特的姿态成为众多跨文化沟通桥梁中的一股新力量。

WorkFace and Berlin have first connected in a personal gathering in the Eco-Village Ji Jiadun in December 2019. During the battle against Covid-19 in Wuhan and globally they cooperated closely and developed strong bonds for the future. The connection of WorkFace and Berlin stands for a cooperation based on trust, honesty and compassion.
Being from Wuhan myself, Covid-19 has pushed me into the center of the global storm, witnessing the suffering first in my own hometown and then spreading over the whole world, repeating my experience of this suffering. Even worse, I experienced how misunderstandings and prejudices among people exploded during this time.
PPE（personal protective equipment） is not the only thing we are lacking during this time, rather it is real communication, with full consciousness.
As an oversea chinese, I have been asking myself:
Who am I？
What is our identity as Chinese?
How could I/we be seen, heard and understood?
The Coronavirus is exposing various traumas in the whole world, social and individual, physical and mental. It brings about stories of isolation, splitting and destruction.
However, with the eternal Love inside us, we decided to reshape these narratives, as a self-organized network and community. We are connecting people in all corners of the world in a flow of warmth and full heart in order to bridge the islands, integrate our various human potentials and empower our deep humanity.

Origin
WorkFace与Berlin相识在2019年的计家墩理想村，真正的相知,源于一场自武汉起、辗转至德国的共同战疫行动。WorkFace Berlin是在开放、真实的联结中，被信任浇灌出来的“果”。
Covid-19，将武汉人推向风口浪尖，也让中国人站到了国际风暴中心。作为一个土生土长的湖北人，见证着家乡人民惨烈的斗争，悲愤交加地熬过七十多个日日夜夜，终究也逃不过在异国他乡再一次经受病毒的洗礼……这一次，令人捉急的，并非PPE的短缺，而是偏见和误解。
作为一个海外华人，
我是谁？我们又是谁？
如何讲述属于“我们”的故事？
如何让我们被看见、被听见、被理解？
如何寻回心灵的自在与安宁？
成为一个绕不过去的命题。
病毒，让一切创痛都暴露在阳光之下。那是一个关于隔离、分裂和毁灭的故事。
为了心中永恒的爱，我们决定，共创一个由“联结”带来的童话，让民间的温暖与真情涌动，绵软地化开千里冰封——
所有人支持所有人，
所有人向所有人学习，
所有人服务所有人。
这就是WorkFaceBerlin的生命故事。

Vision of WorkFaceBerlin
WorkFace Berlin was launched at a time when China was in the spotlight of the world's attention and many people are perceiving and talking about China controversially. WorkFaceBerlin became a grassroot-based gate to China.
WorkFace Berlin的发起，在中国最大频率曝光于西方世界之际，我们开一扇窗，让世界满足好奇。
It is focusing on co-creating a communicative platform with partners through interviews, dialogues and workshops, curating a trustful space rooted in the collective narratives of overseas chinese identities. Oversea chinese can provide a mutual channel to deepen understandings and enhance communication among Chinese and Germans,and other people around the world.
WorkFace柏林致力于打造面向全世界的交流平台，开展深度访谈、圆桌对话，打造共创会，为德中社会合作创新，尤其是年轻人的创业提供基于团体心理教练服务的实验场域和孵化平台；
WorkFaceBerlin will be a living-lab offering psychodynamic coaching for all kinds of interested people, particularly for enterpreneurs and young people active between Germany and China.

WorkFace
WorkFace is a Distributed Autonomous Organization,founded in August 2012, with the value of :“Everyone support everyone, Everyone learn from everyone,Everyone serve everyone”，
focusing on building Eco-community in entreupreneurship, which has become one of the most influential entreupreneur communities in China.
Currently, sub-stations are established in 40+ cities around the world. The most influential sub-stations are Shanghai, Suzhou, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Chengdu, Xiamen, Fuzhou, Chongqing, Qingdao, Luoyang, Zhengzhou and other Overseas Taipei, Kaohsiung, Bangkok, Silicon Valley, etc. Connect more than 100,000 members and grow rapidly in more regions.

The same day, one year ago,
we were at Stay True in Ideal Village,
enjoying the sunny day in calmness.
Never thinking of that,
one year could be as long as
a life time...
The AMA Project is a transdisciplinary research project at the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies (IASS) in Potsdam, Germany. It is a science-based reflection and empowerment hub for change agents engaging in inner transformation as an integral part of socio-ecological transformation. The AMA project conducts research and acts as a network catalyst supporting the emergence of a global community that cultivates virtuous mental qualities as potential drivers of sustainability.
“人类世的智识模式” (A Mindset for Anthropocene, AMA)项目是德国可持续发展高等研究所（Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies, IASS）的一项跨学科探索性项目，通过以科学为基础的反思和赋能，将个体的内在发展作为实现生态文明的主要媒介，AMA项目研究与实践并重，助力打造全球协同式发展社群，为培育良善心性提供可持续发展的潜在动力。
The research group studies and supports synergies between societal transformations to sustainability and personal consciousness development.
Its point of departure is the realisation that in addition to socio-technical innovations and structural transformation, attitudes and mental models are crucial to the achievement of sustainability. To date, however, the cultivation of inner qualities has mainly been understood in terms of its benefits for individual well-being, health and development, for example in the area of leadership. In this context, mindfulness has often been acknowledged as a megatrend in Western societies.
AMA小组研究面向“可持续发展”议题、聚焦于社会转型与个人意识发展的协同作用。
项目的出发点在于，认识到超越社会技术创新与结构转型之外，人的态度和思维模式是实现可持续发展的关键。如今，内在品质培育对于个人福祉、健康与发展（包括领导力）的益处，逐渐被知晓。正因为此，“觉”逐渐成为西方社会的大趋势。

Our mission is to empower change agents that integrate the cultivation of mental qualities with sustainable lifestyles, social systems, and practices. We want to provide academic material that legitimizes the connection between these often-distant fields. We want to build bridges that generate synergies between people and institutions who often find themselves isolated from each other. And we want to engage in a continuous process of transforming ourselves, our practices, and our social systems to enact the change we care about.

我想说，是德村口的一颗大榕树。
走过路过的可以歇一脚、陌生人碰到打个招呼、和村民聊个天，打听个事，总有人在这里乘凉、路过，或偶尔停留，看人来人往。
是人间烟火，亦是江湖。
这里有树洞，把自己心里话、思想火花扔进来，看看会激发什么回响。有时候，会有惊喜的遇见；有时候，有一番无果的辩论；有时候，可能什么都没有……
但是，大榕树一直都在。静静地守候，是大榕树对世界所有的爱。
